This year has been another big one for Southampton; the year opened with a heavy defeat at Brighton and Rickie Lambert being sent off, however by April another promotion had been achieved. So what have your underlining memories of Saints been this year?

Player of the year: Jack Cork, since his arrival he has been a first team mainstay
Most improved player of the year: Jason Puncheon who was out of it last season, closely followed by Jose Fonte who ended last season shakily but has improved greatly this season.
Most improved youngster: Luke Shaw, couldn't really have gone better for him breaking into the first team.
Manager of the year: Nigel Adkins
Best signing of the year: Nathaniel Clyne

Most memorable game this year: Southampton 4 v Coventry 0 or Leeds 0 v Southampton 1 (the Kelvin Davis show)
Worst performance of the year: West Ham 4 v Southampton 1
Best performance of the year: Southampton 4 v Aston Villa 1 - to come from behind when we were rock bottom was a massive achievement.

Hopes for 2013?: 17th with no last day dramatics!

What are your memories of 2012?

Player of the Year: Rickie Lambert (We'd not be here without him)
Most Improved Player of the Year: Morgan Schneiderlin (he just keeps getting better)
    Most Improved Youngster: Luke Shaw
Manager of the Year: Nigel Adkins
Best Signing of the Year: Billy Sharp (his goals in the run-in were invaluable!) / Gaston Ramirez (for "WOW!" factor)

Most Memorable Game This Year: Millwall 2-3 Southampton / Southampton 4-0 Coventry City
Worst Performance of the Year: Brighton 3-0 Southampton
Best Performance of the Year: Southampton 4-1 Aston VIlla (in the interests of variety)

Hopes for 2013?: To comfortably survive, and keep hold of key players as we continue to build.

Just a side point, but surely the first bit and second bit are the same? (for eg, memories of the year, memories of 2012???)

Player of the year: Gotta be Adam Lallana for me. Consistently superb, closely followed by Morgan Schneiderlin.
Most improved player of the year: Morgan Schneiderlin has really made his mark this year.
Most improved youngster: Luke Shaw has been nothing short of excellent. James Ward-Prowse, Jack Stephens & Calum Chambers deserve mentions for their 1st team promotion.
Manager of the year: Only one choice here in Nigel.
Best signing of the year: Billy Sharp's goals fired us into the Premier League.

Most memorable game this year: Pompey (H), Coventry (H), Man Utd (H)
Worst performance of the year: That I've seen, West Brom (A)
Best performance of the year: Aston Villa (H)

Hopes for 2013?: Stability at the back, and survival
