Guys, you know this as well as I, when something isn't happening people under the enormously broad umbrella of "press" (be they magazines, newspapers or especially online publications and blogs) will make stuff up and guess in the hope that they spin the wheel and get lucky. It also means that people (like us) go to their blogs and publications upping their traffic etc. So I really, really wouldn't get too het up about Liverpool going in and out like a frustrated glory-holer.

And in a pitifully ironic twist, I am now behind deadline for the column I write because I've been sitting here all day pressing F5. Must go write about motor sport......!
