I hoped it would be Ezequiel Lavezzi that you would be talking about, I guess he's a little bit out of reach for us.

To answer the question, it's because, as a mod, one's attention is drawn to any Newbie who is over familiar. Usually, genuinely new members are polite and well meaning, and only acquire the less desirable habits when they've got their feet under the table, so to speak. So, as Chilco has pointed out, his suspicions were raised when a Newbie came in and got his feet under the table with his first post. We don't have much to go on as mods [believe me, the investigative tool is very restrictive], so we tend to make our first look on gut feeling. Then we investigate. It takes unnecessary time and effort and personally, I'd prefer it to be easier and more reliable than a gut feeling, because errors lead to ill-feeling.

Schelotto's agent now back tracking. He now says his client would like to join Saints but said it's unlikely. <laugh>
