A massive vote of thanks should go to the players/coaching staff/management @ Charlton for ensuring safety in L1 with two games to go I understand that next season will be a struggle but if the Club shows the same application as this season then I am sure the 27,000+ seater Valley will still be hosting L1 football in 2018/19 for which we would all be grateful. All hail Roland Duchatelet and Karl Gobinson AllHell
Perfectly captures what most of us are feeling. While some do nothing but complain, there are a few who realise what an achievement it is to keep us hovering in league 1. And while the stadium seems to be more empty every time, that just makes it easier to see all the new seats, as well as keeping them pristine while not allowing the oiks to park their backsides on them. And the pitch! heaven!! Seems a shame to spoil it by playing football on it, which just makes it ideal that we have so many footballers who refuse to do so. #thegoldenageofCharlton
The only positive I can take from this it that it is only a 5 minute walk to Fratton Park from my house for an away game next season.
What a season! Time to evaluate the main reasons for our success 1 The protesters have stopped coming, so the atmosphere is fantastic and how the players have responded! 2 We have the bestest manager outside to Premier League, and with the promise of Roland's backing in the summer we should aim for a mid-table finish possibly even top half! 3 Roland has scoured Africa for the world's top coaches, and has located just the man in the Congo! 4 New drainage under the pitch, with added undersoil heating! Depending on what fee we get for Konsa we may even get a boiler to make it work! Let the good times roll! He's here to stay; he's our Roland Duchatelet!
Lets not forget Katrien Meire, who has shown us all, that she has learnt from her mistakes! What an effort!
