Not the best set of results with Wigan and Villa winning. Without playing we are now up to 11th. You couldn't make it up.
However still safe as the proverbial houses

Wigan may well win Tuesday and would be 38 points. They will get nothing away at Arsenal so will be on 38 when they play Villa in the last game.
Villa 40 points will get nothing at home to Chelsea next week, so will have 40 before they play Wigan.
Both can't win and Villa's goal difference is miles worse than ours. A point is no good to Wigan so regardless of anyone else and our own results, aside from 4 goals defeats in each match, there are no worries.

Norwich and Newcastle are in the do do for me. Sunderland and Southampton will be okay as they have to play us...:p

I JUST HOPE you are right mate!
Villa are on a roll and anything is possible .. IF Wigan lose on Tuesday is a big if IMHO. Should they win that and Villa get anything vs Chelsea. We need at least a pt.

Where do you think we will get another pt from. Barring we outplay Spurs and get something next weekend?

and I'm more worried than I was at 3 O'clock today. PS have we ever won at the SOL? I don't think so.

I am glad many of you think we are already safe. I, like Potts, am a little concerned though especially with Wigan winning today. How do they manage to get the results they need at this stage of the season to stay up? At one stage this afternoon Wigan were 8 pts behind us with just 3 games remaining and we were safe but then they turned it around. And who would have thought Villa would now be on 40 pts.

    I'm still a bit worried!
