Kieran Richardson on the pod with Frankie and Danny this week. One of our most underappreciated players of this century I think. 150 appearances for the lads, played in any position he was asked to and gave his all. There's 2 absolute standout memories of Kieran for me. The goal against the mags will be etched in my memory forever. I was in the North Stand that day and the ball was in the back of the net in a flash, an unbelievable free kick. The 2nd one is his performance in the 0-3 at Stanford Bridge. He played on the right hand side of midfield that day and had Ashley Cole's life. That was possibly his best performance in red & white (though some might say Portsmouth). Kieran speaks well of the lads on the pod. Says we're his favourite club that he played for and he actually lived in Sunderland during his time here and loved it. He seems like a top bloke, very positive. As for the podcast itself, Danny's quiz is ****e but I do like it in general, hopefully they can do it a bit more frequently, even if it's not current players.
Just listening to it - his message to the fans was class! Those 3 letters shows how much he got the club!
Richardson had some brilliant games for us in a number of different positions. Never let us down. Great signing from Keane.
