I thought Chris Rigg was in the last year of his apprenticeship and was to be offered a pro deal this summer or have I got that totally wrong?
I am a bit surprised about Carney tbh, he started the season at U23 level, captaining the side, and giving MoM displays in a pretty shambolic side tbh., then he vanished from view without explanation, pity really as he looked very promising, to me at least .
Jack diamond still on this, would imagine once the court case is over we will be able to terminate if found guilty.
Doesn’t need to be found guilty. As long as the club can show his behaviour has brought the club into disrepute, that should be enough to get rid.
I noticed that as well. He had some excellent displays early in the season. They must be all in with the young lad who's signed the contract recently. His name escapes me atm.
Richardson maybe? Also matt young is a really talented gk, think hes only 16 n already been in u21 squad
Yes that's him. Just had a quick look, Adam Richardson. He played towards the end of the season for the 21s I think so they must be backing him but Carney looked decent whenever I saw him. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Aye carney is a decent GK but i think hes one of those decent GKs at u21 level but due to his lack of physicality he will struggle in the mens game. Hope he has a good career but i reckon he will end up at a L2 at best
Carney is 11 months younger than Anthony Patterson. He might be a decent keeper at U21 level but he's getting beyond the point of "prospect" now. He needs regular men's football. The club clear rate Richardson and Carney is a blocker to his progress.
Disappointed Sohna hasnt worked out. Always looked neat and tidy to me but doesnt seem to have progressed.
The kind of player we used to pay until they were 25 and never use. Teams that nurture young talent are ruthless - if you're not on the edge of the first team by 21/22 you're off.
