Serious head now for a moment. When Grayson first got into management, I thought he was going to really do well. He's generally done well wherever he's been but he seems to have been unlucky with problematic clubs/boards. If we can quickly get our act together in the board room, this isn't the laughable appointment that people seem to think...
Low key appointment. He'll make us solid in the Championship and Short will be happy because he'll be able to fob him off with a small transfer budget. With a little bit of spending power he might even get us promoted but it won't be pretty football.
You say make us solid in the Championship like it's a bad thing! Sadly, at the moment I'd settle for that!
For people doubting what players he can bring to the club. He's just signed Josh Harrop, from Manchester Utd. I've spoke about him for a couple of years on here, sometimes with Tel. The lad is a real talent and would definitely have improved us this year. Bit gutting he's going there actually. For Grayson being a defender, his teams seem to be caught up in high scoring games.
I suppose what I'm saying is, he's a good appointment for a Championship club. We'll do ok under him I think but it all feels like a bit of let down when we'd all been anticipating a takeover and a bit more hope.
It says absolutely **** all. Love will do alright in the championship. Harrop who he had just signed, who played first team football for man utd, will thrive.
