I discovered the other night that the club's Foundation is going from strength to strength.

Last year more than 40,000 people took part in Foundation activities. The Club now employs around 200 people to run the Foundation courses.

David Milliband is looking at ways of getting more cash to keep the charity going as the Government is likely to cut what they get
    .
Contrast this with the scheme at Arsenal, they were pleased to have ten - yes ten - people on their books last week.

Don't know about you but this is another reason that makes me proud to follow Sunderland.

I think that at every level we are a club to be proud of and its all down to Quinn, his vision, his determination and his passion.

I feel the same way about the SAFC in Africa initiative, That can be huge, long term, ongoing, pressing all the right buttons.

Without doubt, the best team in the North East by a country mile.

Absolutely right Billpev. Murray did amazing things for our club and it riles me that he doesn't get the credit he deserves. The only thing he did wrong was not being rich enough!

And of course Quinny was exactly the right man to take over from him. We are very lucky to have had the commitment of both men to our club.

Really makes you proud to support this team. It means so much more to people than football around these parts. Some of that could be life changing for these kids. Well done SAFC.

Never been one of Bob's biggest fans but admit he certainly deserves a huge amount of credit for the foundation.

That’s taking nowt away for Niall mind.

Absolutely bang on correct. not forgetting Tom Cowie, Millie lad, who sold his shares to Bob, at face value, no profit.
