Hi guys, I just thought I would throw my two pence in on JH, since I have seen him week in week out since he came through the ranks. First off well done on signing him. Don't listen to all the negatives about the deal out there at the end of the day both clubs got a great deal. Now on to the player... You have aquired a player with bags and bags of potential and I personally think he has went to the right club for that potential to be exposed. Your manager is building a young side that will be competing for honours for the next 10+ seasons, which is great to see. Now at the moment Jordan can be inconsistant. Some games he turns up and some games go by without too much inteference from him but there is one thing for sure, you have a lad here that will give everything that he has even if he knows it's not his day, he will continue to push himself. He will run around non stop throughout the match so you don't have to worry too much about that side of his game. At Sunderland, he was played in the centre but mainly that was due to injuries, I believe if you guys give him a roll where he can cross those balls in from wide he will be great (see the cross he supplied to Gyan v Wigan) but give him a free pass to come into the centre when need be, then you will see that you have a gem. He also has an eye for a pass (see against chelsea etc) which is a big attribute of his, he can see a run and within a second the pass will be at the feet of the striker. One negative about the lad is he hasn't scored many goals from midfield as of yet. However, I believe this will change as you will have people sitting deep giving him more of a roll to get forward, then again he is only 20... If you guys play 4-3-3 I can honest see this working out great for you and tbh I am looking forward to seeing how it all pans out next season. Dalglish is a major reason I can see this lad becoming a success, he has a knack of turing good players into quality. Don't listen to the nay sayers, when this lad trains and plays with players of the qualtiy of Gerrard, Kuyt, Suarez etc then his potential will begin to come out and the player will finally evolve to the player he is destined to be. Last but not least, do one thing... give the lad time. Thanks and look after the lad... (Oh and another thing, if it doesn't work out give Brucey a call and we will take him back, thanks).
Thanks for that mate I take whatever rival wums say with a few grains of salt at best (spent too many years on 606 battling wums - so to say I'm a bit battle hardened is an understatement)
Nice one. I believe he's a sort of player Kenny likes, due to the amount of ground he covers.Suarez is another one that Kenny loves, same thing the amount of pitch he covers is awesome,Dirk Kuyt is another,Lucas is yet another. I believe if he continues in the same vein and improves then he'll be a success.
With us buying players who cover lots of yards and work hard, it does bring beleif that the pass and move style of old is coming back.
Excellent point. It was in its infancy last season, but when better players arrive that will become the norm.Kenny has players flooding the box when we're on the attack, the numbers getting into the 18 yard box is far greater than it ever was.
Thanks for that mate. Although to add something to the mix.. I have a sneaky suspicion he may be converted into a right winger. He has pace, he can beat a man, he can thread a good forward pass and he can cross. All the attributes of a good winger.
Good article. Nice to hear a balanced, generally positive appraisal of the lad. If he doesn't work out, we'll let you have him back for £40m
I heard Comolli saying what really impressed him and Kenny was Henderson was only concerned in discussions with on-the-ptich matters.
Good article. I've got high hopes for Henderson. He's young, English and has massive potential. Let's hope he can fulfill that potential.
This is a far more balanced and thought out article than another that has been recently posted by a Sunderland fan.I was going to close it,but decided to leave it open and have fun with him, seeing as Hendersons replacement is going to be Darron Gibson.Well they haven't seen what ''crap'' is until they see Gibson play for them. He's crap with a capital C.No wonder Northern Ireland wouldn't take him,and he was inflicted on us in the Republic. They decided that one crap Derry born Man United youth teamer was enough and just kept Jonny Evans.
