Read recently that our squad value has plummeted and we were 17th. Guessing that is from transfer fees paid?

 

If we finished in that position I would be more than happy..

Crazy isn;t it! Although this is in apparent transfer fees paid not in "actual" value.

Proving the point is that it shows Fletcher as our most valuable at £12m - who, on here (and in the world of football) honestly thinks he's worth that?

I have no idea what these 'values' represent, from either table. But neither make sense.

The first is on actual transfer fee paid, Which is Bollocks as we sign so many on undisclosed fees. They're guessing. The Transfermarkt one is even more laughable, that site has a public forum (much like this one) where the public(Those who've signed up thinking they're some kind of football player valuer) decide amongst themselves the value of players. It's a German site so good to know say Augsburg fans are telling the world how much our players are worth

The value of the squad on the books will be the insurance value, which is based on contract length, age and medical record, something only the club will know.
