When given the chance, didn't really grab it with both hands mate.......I think he will do quite well at that level..
Should score for fun,he plays Rovers on Saturday
Matty Taylor has completed his return to boyhood club Oxford United on a season-long loan, all-but ending his two-and-half year stay with Bristol City, with the option of a recall in January.
One of Ashton's best signings.
City paid £300k - I'll bet we get a lot more from Oxford when he signs permanently.
Absolutely priceless for upsetting the Sags when he joined City.
And what if he makes his debut this w/e
Extra motivation,he has the number 9 shirt if he scores plenty it can only benefit us.
Go get em Matty and the best of luck.
Never quite made it at championship level, he didn’t get a run in the team , but on the occasions he did start he wasn’t quite up to it. He was still good value for money as didn’t cost much and I loved his attitude and commitment, also of course there was the through ball for Korey’s goal. Probably best for all concerned the move to Oxford as he’s not likely to get any minutes now. Good timing too, as Oxford play the Gas at the weekend.
I liked him, but I thought he played his best for us ‘in the hole’ behind the strikers, rather as a front man himself.
If he’s not going to get game time for us then it’s best all round for everyone that he goes on loan. I’ve not been watching the lower leagues so I had no idea that Oxford were doing so well. I assume we will have a recall clause in case we are decimated by injuries and need him back(?).
I think he got plenty of chances and proved that he won't score goals at this level.
Can't see how we'll get any money for him if his contract finishes at the same time his loan ends. He'll be leaving for free. Oxford might be paying a loan fee that recovers what we paid for him though.
Call back in January if required.
He might get one if he's scoring for fun and we are struggling with injuries...............If he's not and we're not then he may as well turn his mobile off!
I hope he bangs them in and he either gets sold for a handsome price or starts banging them in for us,
Very popular with the fan base - good luck Matty
He's gone on a season long loan and his contract expires at the end of the season.
You won't get any fee for him.
Probably not but we have a recall in January. We could recall and sell him then if there is any interest
If he does well at Oxford and bangs a few goals I think we will recall in January then hopefully sell to Oxford and recoup our money.
The way loan deals are done nowadays we probably charged them not far of the money we gave the sags
can you believe it 33 mins and Taylor injured ….
The injury curse for City players continues.......
