Last night the NFL newsroom announced that the Chargers are going to say goodbye to their GM and coach at the end of this season. With the first major team overhaul this season now being a fact, which other teams do you predict to sack their staff as well? My picks for this season: Raiders, Eagles and the Jets
Care to elaborate? I think the Eagles because they had an iffy season last year and Andy Reid was already under a lot of pressure back then. This season is even worse for them. Defense has been extremely poor. And just when i write this I find this on the bleacher report: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1436215-cleveland-browns-why-andy-reid-will-coach-the-browns-in-2013 So that call was right ^^ On the Raiders: I watched the game against the Bronco's and I was impressed by the defense, but my god that offensive team was horrible. That team has to change dramatically to avoid another crappy season next year. Three bad years in a row in the NFL is surely to cost your job. Dave Allen may be in charge for 11 months now, but nothing has changed since last season. So I'm guessing a radical change in Oakland might be the right play for next season. And the Jets, well, plenty of reasons for a turnaround, no need to explain myself there
I didn't pick the Raiders, as you say Allen has only had 1 year to try and improve things, I would give him another chance. The Lions, Scharwtz has had 3 years and The Cards, Whisenhunt has been there for ages and they seem to be on a downward slope too. Using that logic, pretty basic I know, I'm sure we could get rid of some others while we are at it!
Cards are a decent young team.. Good defence, good wide receivers just need a QB.. So I don't think Wisenhunts job is in danger, agree Eagles will ring the changes, maybe the Jags and the Titan's?
Sack watch update: Ravens fired offensive coordinator Cam Cameron today after two straight losses, he was with the team since 2008. He will be replaced by Jim Caldwell who was head coach of the Indianapolis Colts last year.
