With a 2 week break and a certain defeat by Man Utd Ellis Short does have time to save our season and get someone in who can try to get something out of this pile of crap we call our team. MON has been a massive failure with negative tactics, clueless substitutions and utterly desparate transfer activity costing Short millions. That excuse for a performance today where we virtually failed to create a decent chance on goal in 60mins against 10 man Norwich was the final straw. Right now there are NOT 3 worse teams in the league than us. We've lost to Villa, Reading and QPR, Southampton have just put 3 past Liverpool and I'm currently cursing Wigan (who've just won 3 nil at Goodison) cos they're beating the scum. A Manager with a honeymoon period maybe our best hope as I can't see Mon getting another win in our last 8 games (Just like last season) PS can the Club please guarantee that nobody's season ticket renewal money will be used to fund another holiday ( sorry team bonding session ) in Dubai next year as these useless overpaid tossers piss me off
Not saying you're wrong mate, but just who do we get in at this stage of the season? who would come here?
For me they may as well have frigged off to Cheltenham for the day beacuse I have no clue what on earth they do in training. Tactis? no way, shooting practice? why, passing,? nope, formations, crossing, pass and move? For a premier league team still not doing schoolboy basics after 30 games is just something well beyond my brain power.
Do you really believe ( Mackemwelder ) whoever comes in can do worse than 3 points out of 21, they only need to keep us in the premier nothing else and then have a long hard look in the summer although I am not saying this should happen its just an option but anything is better than this.
alright squire, good thread this until stu popped up, just about to take my hat off to the OP and parkers post
Heard an interesting stat on TV the other night. 9 PL clubs that have been in the bottom 3 come March have sacked their managers. All 9 failed to survive the drop My point is that we are only 4 points ahead of Wigan, so very near to the trap door. I don't think it would be wise to sack the manager now. After all, whoever came in would have to work with exactly the same players and probably coaching staff too, so would find it just as difficult to stop the rot. I know it's hard to stomach, but we need to remain calm and hope that we can fall over the finishing line with our PL status intact.
