Saw this and felt the need to share. http://www.sabotagetimes.com/footba...ester-city-kasper-schmeichel-can-match-peter/ What are your thoughts on the points made?
Agree about the riverside, looks shabby close up.............. obviousy money is tight there, Steve Gibson built a stadium when his eyes were bigger than his stomach, when the economy was great, and money seemed no object...sad to see it always half empty, ****e atmosphere. vassell drives me mad, if only he had the ability to finish...not going to happen now ,not at 31, kasper, we have stole him off leeds...no doubt.beckford is still to convince me....
He makes the comment about money, but listening to Stringer on commentary on Wednesday, it was very noticeable how much the Boro team cost. Yes, they weren't all bought in this summer like ours, but make no mistake, that team is probably as expensive as Leicester's. It's taken until now for them to produce the goods (league-wise anyway, don't know what the football's been like), which proves the point I constantly make about patience. I'm not saying forget this season - we're in a much better position than Boro were last year, but too many fans think because we spend a bit, we should be running away with the league from day one. I can't help but believe this is because they feel embarrassed after some pre-season bragging and are worried that it will come back to haunt them. I, for one, am happy with progress so far, and think we've got good returns from some tricky fixtures. The style of play has not been great (but that didn't stop QPR getting promoted!) but I believe this will improve with time. Besides, football is a results game and I think the results so far, after a shaky start, have been quite good.
FFS! Boro were the big spenders last year, when they had that little twat jock in charge! They have spent far more than us in the last few seasons and they have got there reward f**k all.
