Sean O’Driscoll is delighted to have added another promising youngster to his squad for the 2013/14 season.

The head coach made his third capture of the summer when Aston Villa Derrick Williams, aged 20, penned a three-year deal at Ashton Gate yesterday.

City’s other signings during the close season, Arsenal’s Jordan Wynter and Aden Flint from Swindon Town, are both under the age of 24 as the club continues to focus its intentions on younger recruitment.

Speaking to bcfc.co.uk, O’Driscoll said: “I’m delighted to have added to our stable of young professionals with the acquisition of Derrick Williams from Aston Villa.

“Derrick is another player who we feel we can develop and is young and hungry.

“He’s already an Under-21 international for the Republic of Ireland and is a welcome addition to the squad as we approach the new season.”
