The Reds boss worked with the Welshman during his time at Swansea City and heâs been brought in as a replacement for Darren Burgess who stood down last month. âDarren decided to go back to Australia and I thank him for his contribution in the short time I was here,â said Rodgers. âI needed to make sure I got not just a sports scientist but a football physiologist - someone who understands how I work. âWhen I went to Swansea I took Rylands from Fulham. He came in and did a terrific job for a few years. âHe has good experience and also works with the Welsh national team. He had his first day with us on Wednesday and he will prove a very good signing for the club.â Morgans is the fourth member of Rodgersâ backroom staff at Swansea to join him at Anfield. Assistant boss Colin Pascoe, head of opposition analysis Chris Davies and head of performance Glen Driscoll all made the move to Liverpool back in June.

I don't think there are any I don't like. Seeing as your Welsh Zingy you can join Liverpool with me, we'll find a job for you I'll have a chat with Brendan later.
I'm already there, I make sure the players have a towel at hand after they finished their bath. I get some funny looks when I do the U18s but its okay, I'm not as touchy feely as Rodgers!
I start tomorrow so I'll see you there staying at Joe Allens until I get digs. Everyone has to wear a leek on their training kit from now on should go well.
