I've Tunnicliffe play twice this season and he looks a real prospect. A big , strong holding midfielder who can certainly play the ball as well. For me he's one for the future and can't imagine SAF will be looking at selling him but then again I'm not AF. What's the general consensus from you guys on him? Likely to be nurtured by SAF or do you think he'll be released? Like I say the boy looks a very tidy player IMO. Any opinions would be appreciated.
He'll probably go out on loan to a premier league club next season, and if he does well, he'll probably fight for a spot in the team the following year. Who knows, he may even get a shot at the first team next season.
I reckon he may get a shout at the first team in the league cup etc in the first half of next year and then go out on loan from January onwards. That seems to be how SAF likes to handle players who've spent a full season on loan - he's a bit wary of letting them go out on loan two years in a row. I think he'll definitely handle the step up, if not next year then the year after. Tbh I've always rated him higher than Pogba and Morrison - says a lot to me that SAF was willing to let him go on loan aged 18, when the other two were kept closer at hand.
Thanks for that. I've I've seen Pogba and wasn't that impressed but in Tunnicliffe you have some larker.
