I know its in the transfer thread but that gets all sorts on it. Cant we have a discussion on one thred about individuals.

    Good signing? Bad signing?
Where's he going to play? I really cant remember owt about him. What positiion do you think Brucey is going to play him in. Bit strange he didnt play yesterday.

As an aside can i be the first to say we should sign Leon Britton.

If kept fit, very good signing.

    Simple as that.

He can play RB, CB and CDM I think Chazz.

Ditto Quill's comments, if he is over his injuries then will be a very good signing.

I know he was out for 20 odd months with a bad one a few years ago.

This is spot on, he is a very good larker, but more of a gamble than Bullard; old ground but I'm amazed we let Rosie and Macca go and would consider Ryan Taylor.

Dodgy knee. First happened start of 2012/13 season, out for 2 years, came back, did it again, out for 6 months. Now we've got him. Fingers crossed but it doesn't bode well, especially given the track record of our medical department...

Where is Clucas going to play too. Both real utility players then. Seems he's a LB LM LW but played up front for chesterfield against us. Looks like Dave Kitson.

Good potential, and unlikely to be a huge risk with the way we're currently dealing with players.

Also can I just point out I mentioned Leon Brittan as a good prospect years ago when he was still just the Foreign Secretary.

One thing that sticks out about Clucas is how many point out hes a bit on the slow side. We're already slow enough in attack without replacing one of our faster players with another tortoise, though that said if we're going to carry on that way maybe it's better to have players who fit better into a style that takes approx 45 minutes to move the ball from one end of the pitch to the other.

Hope they filled in the holes at the training ground that did for Brady and Robertson!

Clucas considered himself a box to box centre mid when he was at the Glenn Hoddle academy...

Just to save anyone else watching it. He's a box to box centre mid. <ok>

Did he mention that he likes to get the ball down and play?

There would be no point signing a player the rest of the team can't keep up with? The last thing we need after relegation is disruption to the ethos of the team. Good signing, for me, if only to maintain constancy.

Slow as **** wing back & an injury time bomb waiting to limp off, we'll be up by Christmas.

if he follows that statistical trend, he'll be out for only 1.5 months this time then..
