Matrin Samuel on 'cheat' Ryan Nelsen Embarrassed? Over, to you, Ryan Embarrassing? This is what is embarrassing. A centre half who loses his man from a set-piece so spectacularly that he has to grab him around the neck and shoulders, rugby style. Any goalkeeper who comes chasing from his line as if klaxons have sounded and gives away a needless penalty. A mistimed tackle in the box. It isn't the attackers who are conning people, it is the defenders. They are using wild accusations of simulation to cover their mistakes. Going down: Nelsen accused Terry of diving in QPR's draw with Chelsea Take Ryan Nelsen of Queens Park Rangers. He wrestled John Terry to the ground in Saturday's match with Chelsea and then had the cheek to make a leap for the moral high ground. 'If you ask John, he fell down,' said Nelsen. 'He was too embarrassed to say anything.' And now the crux of the matter. 'Of course, I was holding him.' So if Nelsen was holding Terry, it was a penalty. He's not allowed to hold an opponent. Whether Terry falls easily, or fights to keep his balance with as much determination as a tightrope walker over Niagara Falls is neither here nor there. Nelsen lost his man, so fouled him, and got away with it. His admission is the embarrassment, not Terry's reaction.
Terry often does the same, as do tonnes of other defenders. Plenty of players go down easily under these challenges too. It's down to the FA and referees to sort out how much contact constitutes a penalty, not one of the Fat Hairy Bikers.
Terry went looking for it but it was deffo a pen. These are so rarely given though for some reason. I remember in the C/L v Inter a few years back (the year they won it), we had 2 even more nailed on that this not given for us. Absolutely blatant they were.
He didn't say Terry dived like the article suggests, if that's what you mean. Even if he did, I can't see how what he's said is any worse than Terry trying to claim he slipped into that Barcelona player, if we're doing comparisons.
I think you're taking what he said to far, it looks to me like he was saying Terry didn't need to go to ground(ie made the most of it) which he did. He was responding to RDM saying it was a penalty anyway so how else do you expect him to defend himself?
How about not commenting at all? There was no need to be sarcastic. Just say he didn't think it was penalty if anything.
RDM felt he could comment on it so he had every right to defend himself. He wasn't sarcastic, he gave several reasons for it not being a penalty and one was that Terry went down easy, it's just that the Terry one was picked up on for the headlines.
The main reason that Terry went down was to wait for Lumpard to pick him up please log in to view this image
LOL. Finally an Rrrrs fan with a sense of humour (albeit lousy) rather than up their own Rrrrrse. Well done
That fat cu*t has never even been on a football field so how the fu*k would he know what's allowed and what's not? Terry jumped to the floor like the dog that he is. And Samuel? Don't make me laugh. He was probably writing his article in between round 1 and 2 of a pie-eating contest. What a morbidly obese, gluttonous, hungry fat bastard.
Oh my god..I've finally found a group of supporters that take Martin Samuels seriously....!!! lmfao..!! It would be funny if it wasnt so sad... Dont think RN was completely innocent if I'm honest, but if you lot are honest you'd probably admit that JT is like a second goalkeeper for you sometimes..and as for fouling...wonder why he didnt play in the CL final !!! Good luck !
