I hope Gigg's plays against city, he's experienced in these type of games, he won't give the ball away many times like we did against Everton, one thing i've been impressed is his link up play with Rooney has been great.

He hasn't played in the last two games which i think the boss was resting him for Monday's game, keeping him fresh and ready.

No other player has played in Manchester derby more times then Ryan Giggs, i'm expecting him to start.

I think Sir Alex will go with a lone striker and make it 5 men midfield so that we don't allow Man city's midfield to have more time on the ball, with the Everton game we allowed thier mid have more time on the ball.

So i think the line up might be this

    De Gea
    Jones, Evans,Ferdinand, Evra
    Carrick
    Valencia, Scholes, Giggs, Nani
    Rooney

Carrick can sit in front of the defense and be a defensive midfielder.

If Evan's not fit enough to play then replace him with Smalling.

Nani over Young because Nani si the big game player and he has looked like he's back to his best, 2 goals in two games and also few assists but i'm hearing that Nani is a doubt for this game, is this true? if it is then Young should replace him.

I know many people might say Schoels and Giggs playing together might not be a good idea but i disagree with that and plus remember against Liverpool when we beat them 2-1, them both played 90 minutes and their experience really helped us close down the game.

We must not lose this game, it'll be a disaster if we lose this title decider especially when we were leading 8 points like 2 weeks ago. which is strange how we led that lead slip to 3, normally at this stage of the season we don't normally drop that many points, we have been really sloppy but hopefully against City we play much better and play without being sloppy.

If Giggs plays in the center in a game like this I fear we will lose.

    why?

his experience will definitely help us, like if we're wining 1-0 he will help us close down the time, no player knows how to play in these games more then Ryan Giggs, he has been the best league player for the past 20 years, he played in this game more times then any on, his experience will help, he'll stay calm and like Scholes he'll keep the mid calm, he wouldn't rush anything because of his experience, he's a know-how of how to play in this game. Him and Rooney can hurt you, their link up has been fantastic

not if we have like Micheal Carrick behind him as a defensive midfielder. We all still know that Ryan Giggs might not have the pace as he did when he was younger but he is still very fast as we seen in games this season. he still has good pace to match Yaya Toure.

He still has pace in small bursts, and he is still effective around the box, but when it comes to defending in the center of the pitch he is more often than not caught out of position, especially against teams that like to press the midfield. Scholes isn't as fast, and doesn't get around the pitch as much as Giggs yet he is much more effective as a center midfielder simply because he has much better positional sense for that area of the pitch.

someone should start a matchday thread so all of this can be discussed in one thread without the board getting spammed.
