So Ward has signed a 19 year old ex Bristol City player who has scored 4 goals in his last 33 appearances on loan with tranmere and Leyton Orient.Recently recovered from a serious knee injury. At 6'1 he is not a towering striker although larger than Tom and Richards, brought in from Stoke as we are also looking at Benson assume if that deal happens then Tom will not be resigned. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/brunt-signs-615122.aspx Whats the view from the terraces on this signing. COR
He has actually scored in League One,and I trust Ward's judgement. I would like to see Tom Hitchcock stay, not least because he has built a good understanding with Richard. The new lad provides some competition and support. I'm sure the pressure could build if Richard and Hitchcock fail to score. Hopefully the new signings will offer some different options. I really rate Richard. He has the potential to be a match winner. He also has a very good strike rate if you compare his goals with full games played. But I have always felt he needs a good run in the right position - a striking role rather than out on the wing. I really hope JJ stays because he offers leadership, drive and real hope to be honest. At least if he could stick around ntil we're safe, that would be just great.
if we can afford benson then great. hitchcock has played well, richards improving, clarkson may return as a striker if o'toole stays with us, now we have brunt and if benson joins as well.... happy days!
