Not sure that could be said to be a "pop at Woy" ......... Just a pretty good quote ........ Scandalous that he's not in the squad - even Merse said so
Shaw pulls out and still Bertrand doesn't get a call-up. Ridiculous. That said, antagonising the England manager won't get him anywhere.
We can read anything into it that we like...all deniable. We know what he probably meant, but not a direct attack. Now as Lff said, he should desist now it is off his chest. We're behind you, Ryan...you will get your chance.
Lion = Bertrand Sheep = Hodgson Bertrand doesn't give a toss what Hodgson thinks (well he does obviously if he wants to play for England, but isn't going to let it bother him).
Sounds more Lovren than Bertie! Someone else not impressed http://www.squawka.com/news/jody-mo...ibbs-were-selected-over-ryan-bertrand/336612?
Calling someone a 'sheep' generally implies that they're very narrow-minded, too. A sign of following the crowd, etc.
Personally I'm glad he's not been picked.........otherwise he'll get ideas that he's extremely good and get a move to Manure and his career will hit the rocks
I was taking it more directly and was wondering if sheep are capable of opinions. Moreover whether the lion can grasp the concept of a different species having an opinion. A lot to think about there, a lot of concepts.
Pretty sure both sheep and lions have opinions, but the lion only thinks of sheep as food that annoyingly won't stand still.
