I was shocked when we signed him, there were rumours of him going to City and to be honest most of our fans thought he would end up there but Van Persie knows his football, he wanted to come to United, he wanted to be a part of our history, help us get our title back from our Noisy Neighbours as Fergie once said. To me his signing reminds me of when Cantona joined us in 1992, we lost out to Leeds for the first division as it was back then, he joined us for £1.2 million pounds which was a lot of money back then and he was a success with us, helped us to win our first league title in 26 years and he helped the likes of Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, the Neville brothers and Butt to the team, and i feel that Van Persie is having that effect on us this season, for example, take Chicharito, he scored 12 goals for us last season, some might say that's a good record but h suffered a head injury beofre the start of last season, and he didn't have a break with us, but this season, he looks like a new signing, helped us to win crucial games against at Aston Villa, Braga, and many more. I'll admit i didn't want RVP here because of his injury record but i didn't want him to go to City, thankfully he joined us and he's scored a lot of goals for us 19 golas in 25 games, for the reported fee we paid Arsenal for him, it looks like a bargain.

I'd like to put in a bid to cover the Olympics.

Not Rio, the one after that.

Knew if you kept him fit he'd be a quality signing for you, probably the best player in the EPL at present
