Hi Gooners, Interesting picture here posted on an Arsenal forum. Bit of a strange one to post on twitter if it is him. A quote: "Why is our Captain havin dinner with a member of the Citeh ownership?" http://www.goonersworld.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21858#p683991 Thoughts?
Does it make any sense that RVP would post this picture on his Twitter account if there was anything in it that releated to him negotiating with a City official????
He's married to a Moroco woman so maybe he has lots of Moroco folk as friends. As for resemblances to the Citeh dude, I mean I know 2 people who are dead ringers for John Major, 2 Tony Sporanos. As for loyalty, I defy anyone to turn down the offer of even 10,000 per week more. Most players come from poor backgrounds, and omce they have achieved th edream of becoming a professional and earning money, they probably want to capitalise on it. Don't forget also that most decisions will be family ones, so their wives who don't have any loyalty to the fans/clubs will probably just see $£$£$£ signs. It's human nature.
Exactly. Use common sense people. I know most footballers aren't the brightest bulbs but I doubt RVP would incriminate himself.
Someone on Goonersworld said: "the 1st guy is Kees Vos, who works for SEG, a management agency that represents Robin."
http://www.balls.ie/2012/04/14/the-rvp-photo-thats-freaked-out-some-arsenal-supporters/ Still maintain its not the same guy... there is no way RVP would post a twitter pic with a City official.
Apparently it's not a Citeh guy, he's some rich Arsenal fan who owns a private box at the emirates. Why would RvP post a picture of himself with a citeh bloke?
I know, footballers can be stupid at times, but it really would stun me if RVP was stupid enough to post a pic of him and some City delegate on Twitter.
The bloke in the middle is the restaurant owner where they are eating. He is also a massive Arsenal fan who has corporate seating at the Emirates.
Maybe RVP knew they looked very similar and was trying to gather momentum in the speculation.... But I doubt it! He just needs to sign a new contract ffs.
I very much doubt it - I am sure he was just out to dinner and having a good time with his friends! He won't sign a new contract till the summer - either with us or someone else. I think this depends on CL football, and probably what Arsene Wenger does in the transfer window.
Mystery dude is the father-in-law of the Famlan guy who was mentioned in RvP's tweet. And judging by his TL, Famlan's a Gooner & RvP's pal.
