I'm having trouble keeping up. The Russians are the good guys, yeh? Weren't they on our side in WWII? Whereas the Ukrainians were the concentration camp guards?
They're paid by British Aerospace and other interested parties to make periodic incursions into our airspace. They wouldn't want politicians getting any ideas about us not needing modern strike or reconnaissance aircraft.
Don't panic ****s, it was Scottish airspace **** them ****s. The Russians are just weighing them up ready to deploy after independence.
I used to watch our jets intercept Russian Bears as far inland as Kent back in the late 70's. It's nothing new. If anyone is trying to escalate anything it is the ****ing press and whoever feeds them their lines. Yacontcha!
My brother was a Shackleton pilot in the 70's operating out of Leuchars. The Bears used to fly down the coast outside our airspace. We scrambled Lightnings and the two pilots spent half an hour waving to each other and then went home.
