I wouldnt expect too much to come from this anyhow. Its the Russians handing Obama a lifeline to take himself down off that perch he managed to climb up to before realising a embarrassing loss in the House of Representatives was almost an inevitability. Im almost sure they will try and use it to get around the need for a vote in the Senate or a UNSC resolution e.g. use of force if unrealistic timescales are not adhered to. Im sure Putin has something up his sleeve if such a thing comes to pass as for the entire 2 and a half years of this conflict the Russians appear to have been playing Chess while the Americans played checkers. Oh, I also think Israel has more to worry about with the Iskander theatre missiles Syria reportedly took delivery of last December, and also the Yakhont anti-ship missiles Israel tried and failed at destroying when they struck Latakia a few months back
Vietnam, Iraq 1, Afghanistan ,Iraq 2 & Lybia all pointless wars but i think Syria is different ,they need the US of A to get in there & kick some ass ....
