For those of you upset at Crawley snapping up all the talent... remember when Rushden entered the league and were bankrolled by Max Griggs, got promotion etc. It seems to have all gone wrong now.

It's ok spending money on top players, but what happens when the money run out or the benefactor leaves??

So just hope those at Crawley heed the warning!!!

anyone know if there were any promising players in their squad who should now be seeking a new employer? atleast we wont have to pay back any more of the jackson money so that should be a boost the the coffers

It's easy, the money goes to the administrators and any money "coming in" will go out to pay debts, "pennies in the pound"

Agreed, the transaction still has to happen.

Whatever happened to the Simeon Jackson money?? Did we ever even find out exactly how much it was?

shame, worth a try tho. we got 600K up front plus add ons up to 1.1mil, supposedly he's already trigger 150K of that through promotion and goals scored last season but this may just be a hear say

I doubt very much if the Club will actually see any or the Jackson money as this may already be earmarked to pay off some of the Club's debts. Most of the transfer budget will be out of the 9 players that have so far gone with more to follow? I do hope that I am wrong, but in this economic climate, nothing no longer surprises me.
