it was announced by a source at anfield but no news confirmed. seems to be some debate as to whether he resigned or was sacked too, so it may be untrue. who knows...
to be fair, whenever a big job comes up it will be, but thats because we have the hottest young manager in britain. its not the worst problem to have to be honest...
we'll probably have this problem with our best players over the coming seasons too, but whats important is that we have these assets that other clubs want. it means we're doing things correctly
Agree with this. The good thing is we as a club are now in a good position to bring in good managers/players if required. Much better than when we were in the championship or league 1.
and this is a good thing. should we lose lambert this summer, we are an incredibly exciting opportunity for many managers looking to progress in the premier league. talk about a sound foundation! a debt-free club with ambition and money to invest, and they'd have half the future england team to pick from!! and who wouldn't trust mcnally to get the managerial appointment correct? i certainly would!
Indeed, would certainly be a very desirable job, particularly for up and coming managers which I imagine is where would look to. See Liverpool have refused to comment on whether Kenny is staying or going. So he will probably go then. Still don't think Liverpool will risk Lambert and will get a more established name.
but they are interested in martinez? if he interests them, you'd have to think lambert and rodgers probably do too
Poor Lambert! Not 'big enough' for Liverpoo, 'too ambitious' for cash-strapped Villa....whatever can he do?
Martinez has a stigma attached to him about how his sides play great football and he has a good relationship with the media. I would imagine Lambert maybe on their radar but not too high up the list.
if liverpool approached lambert, he'd go, and who could blame him. the liverpool job is one of the biggest in world football, whether they're **** or not. however, i doubt they will come in for him but that vacancy is more worrying than the villa one. i'd still be extremely surprised of paul lambert is not norwich manager at the beginning of next season
BBC News (World) ‏ @BBCWorld Liverpool FC are refusing to either confirm or deny speculation that Dalglish has resigned as manager - via BBC's @danroan Storm in a teacup, perhaps? Or, conversely "no smoke without fire"?
I haven't seen anything on other football sites about Dalglish yet so I guess this is just mere speculation
zzzzzzzzzz. Not my opinion that he isn't 'big enough'...I'm talking about Liverpool fans. If Hodgson who has managed Inter Milan wasn't enough why would PL be? I've seen Martinez linked with them but has anyone from Liverpool said anything or is it all media speculation? If Martinez is who they want you would imagine they would also have Rogers rated higher than PL if they want to play 'continental football'. I just don't see PL at Liverpool.
