It's amazing what we do to some players... El-Abd went from being a very good solid defender for a championship side who were pushing for promotion. Comes to us and has a terrible time of it then gets loaned out to a league 2 side! Nicky hunt mark 2!
I'm surprised by this with the busy Christmas period coming up especially with Osborne injured. Unless we will be getting someone else in. It would leave us a bit short of cover at centre half
In a similar vein it seems like Sammi Hyppia at BHA is already seeing that Sam Baldock wont score the amount of goals needed at their level and they have brought in Darren Bent. Any of us could have told him that before he bought him, it wasn't exactly rocket science....! I don't bear any malice against Sam, he was great for us, but a Championship standard striker he just isn't
Hunt is a much worse RB than El-Abd is CB. At least El-Abd was a legend/favourite at his old club. Nicky hunt come to us with bad reviews from Derby and Bolton fans... and we soon found out just how bad he was! So yeah, would much rather have El-abd in my team than Hunt, but that's not much of a compliment!
