Wouldn't be that much of a surprise would it Gat. As long as we don't sell players off at knock down prices anymore. Lets be honest, Cardiff have just got to the promised land so if they want any of our players or those of most teams then they are going to get them. You couldn't blame somebody like him wanting to go either.

It's crazy that a 17 year old player like Harvey who's played 9 league games (most as a substitute) in the bottom league in the land and scored just once can be hoovered up by what's now a Premier League club.

That'll be the last he sees of competitive professional football for a few years and perhaps forever. Is that good for him or for football as a whole? No.

Anybody seen Scott Sinclair lately? No, exactly.

Scott Sinclair made the bad career move to Man City last August.......being able to buy nearly anyone that they fancied you wonder if his agent was more interested in the wedge of money he himself would get than Scotts wellbeing.

He had two very successful seasons at Swansea scoring 28 goals and helping them to gain promotion to the Premiership before the move.

He did play 4 times for the UK in the Olympics last year.

Unfair to bracket him with 17yr olds who haven't really made it at any level at present.

Even mature internationals can find themselves out of favour at mega rich clubs like Man City.......quite often a change of manager can be enough for your career to grind to an halt.

Can still remember his Argyle goals.

Well its a shame these bigger clubs get to take all the talent and then just not use them.

Its a shame for these youngsters. But it will never stop.
I remember the goals plym, i was at Barnet in the FA cup when he scored a cracker and then against Palace..

    Great talent..

That was the point I was making Plymborn, if a player like Sinclair, who'd been a Premier League star at Swansea, can disappear almost without trace, how's it going to be a good idea for a 17 year old with a zero track record to do this?

I'm not having a go at Harvey although if he has an agent maybe he should take a good look at himself in the mirror. More to the point though, what a nonsense it is for football.......

First of all is it still a rumour? haven't seen anything official as yet..doesn't his Parents have a say in this?
unless Argyle get a good sum of money he should stay where he is..that's easy for me to say..

The only winner will be the Agent in all this... he is 17 years old so the parents must have some imput!

His wages would go up dramatically so why should he worry about actually playing in the first team for a while. I agree with BC, it's only a rumour even if it is one with a bit of credence about it. Big clubs will ALWAYS get their man if they want them and small clubs will not stand in the way. Players will pretty much always go willingly as well because they see it as an opportunity to better themselves. It was always thus and always will be.
