I will swap Beckford for Snodgrass. Nothing else interest me from Leeds Or that Brilliant goalie you have who is miles better then ours
If Beckford did go i would want us to sign 2 of 3 Maynard, Sharp or Hooper I cant see Nigel going for Jelavic, he isnt his type of player One thing i will say about the rumour, it came from fourth official and when we made the intial bid for Beckford which was rejected he was saying he had no chance of signing him and it will never happen. He also said Bamba was sold too but again he did get alot right and more then Bert did But Sven quite often let his transfer plans known to the media and people could easily find out our targets. I dont think it will be as easy to find out now with Nigel back in charge
Jelavic is exactly Nigel's type of player. Big, strong, powerful in the air, can finish and has technical ability to match. He's exactly the sort of player he'd want.
I dont think he is. Plus he has already ruled out a move to us 1 thing we need to remember we are a less attractive club now as Nigel doesnt have the pulling power Sven had. Especially when we try and sign players from other divisons and countrys
I would rather we get Andy Lonergan as back up. He isnt anywhere near as good as Kasper but he is better then Weale and should god help us anything happen to Kasper Lonergan could come in for a bit. We could get him for next to nothing with uncle Albert at Leeds.
Yeah but Smithies has age on his side. Lonergan has just lived his whole career in this division, we want players who will be Prem class and Smithies has a lot of potential.
It would be alot of money to pay for a back up keeper. Uncle Albert will sell us Andy Lonergan for a couple of christmas crackers
sources?? Id sell beckford tbh, if the money in would get another decent striker. i remember saying at the time that i believe we dont suit his play. Would like to see him play off howard though.
