Last home game I picked up 2 rumours from the same source. He stressed that it came from 'his source in the West Stand', who has been right on the money many times, often weeks ahead of anyone else having info. Sadly, he is equally likely to be sold a pup, either through bad info, or things falling through at an early stage.

I have no thoughts on these rumours, but together, they paint a very clear picture, if true.

R#1. A well know Jewish businessman was approached in hospitality by Radz. He has been involved in one of the takeovers before, I believe, and is loaded. Radz basically asked him to invest, as basically, we were skint.

R#2. Apparently there is a takeover deal agreed & in place, ready to go. No idea what the trigger will be to action it. 65% to be purchased by a Saudi source. No other detail whatsoever.

Take this with a pinch of salt, but if anyone hears anything associated with this, please feel free to share. R#1 concerns me. R#2 excites me.

R1 cant be true as everything I have read especially from Mike Thornton clearly shows Radz is quids in and doing a brilliant job. There are things in play that beat the FFFP rule too. Also Bielsa is a trained lawer from a family of wealthy lawyers who do Due Dilligence and cant see him agreeing to come to another Bates lash up.

R2 is feasible especially if Radz has over extended his business empire with 11 Sports etc. The 49ers deal may have been a sign? Bielsa may also be fully aware of the potential plans and explains why he actually agreed to a Championship club? Saudi money means massive investment. 65% Saudi and 49ers at at least 12% equals 77% reducing Radz stake significantly or he sells the rest to the 49ers?

Right now I hope its a bad story, but got an open mind on 2

Afraid you have rattled my cage with this one WJ
I have never thought Radz had as much money as it would appear on the surface possibly has cash flow problems.
    Question
If R2 is correct then why the need for R1.
Just my simple mind working overtime.

I have as much of a clue about it as you, old boy! I only related the story I was told. Interestingly, R#1 was witnessed! I'm guessing, and I repeat, guessing, that if it is indeed true, then perhaps it may be an interim measure to ease a cash flow situation, as you suggested. No timeframe was put on R#2, and my personal guess is that it's based on us getting promoted. Can't think of any other reason to delay is the deal is all agreed.

The Eleven Sports aspect is a concern though, as there must have been great financial commitments made in order to win various contracts.

It may be that Radz simply has less time & money to focus on Leeds than he did 2 years ago. He has deep pockets, but is continually challenged as to where to invest for maximum return, like all businessmen.

If he can do PL on a relative shoestring, imagine the cash options for not only Leeds but his other ventures?

WJ I feel it rather unprofessional to go up to someone and suggest he puts money in because you are skint immediately it says we can get this much cheaperI wonderedwhy we have spent so little on investment after his promise so that would explain that

Didn't I read somewhere that at one point in the close season Radz had said if he didn't get Bielsa he would have been prepared to invest 20 mil in a Conte type manager. Wonder where this money was going to come from?

I do think Radz thinks football fans are stupid and believe everything he says but then forgets what he does say, as he does contradict himself. He said we were going to invest £20m in the team,we've a £3m nett spend, yet we had to sell RV to buy Bamford, 6 higher earners in but 14 out possibly balances out. Where is that £17 mill, I know MB is good but he can't have cost that much.

I feel that until the next books are available, we won't know what mess financial wise had to be sorted out in the background. That will be the telling point for me.

I totally agree but why come out with these £20m spend kind of statements, just say nothing. It makes him look silly, fans get their hopes up only to be deflated, the signing of Biesla has saved him a lot of criticism.

Can I suggest that anyone who has any fears about our financial situation has a look at Mike Thorntons tweets or his web site. I did loads of analysis on Bates when we were on the old BBC site and have to say Thornton is streets ahead of me. He also has contacts within the club and gets exclusive insight. I have emailed him this morning to see what his views are, but as I mentioned earlier R1 sounds like a crock to me but R2 is possible if Radz has over extended his other business interests and wants to release some capital tied up in the club. The football club is seperate from his other business ventures and firewalled and so too is the ownership of ER which is 100% owned by Radz

I agree it's better not to promise things at all if it isn't going to happen.

If Rads has approached some Jewish businessman and told him he wants to sell because we are skint then he is a dumbfuck. I don’t believe he is but if A is true, get someone to give Rads my number, I can negotiate better than that.

B is possibly closer to the truth, Ristac has said a hundred times he sees Rads as the stepping stone to great owners. If he has steadied the ship as Doc alludes to with the Mike Thornton (I also really rate this guy) quotes then Rads will win big time, if IBWT achieves promotion first, Rads probably has his biggest business win ever.

    Non story for me.
