Thanks for the effort but personally I don't pay much attention to stats unless they're at an extreme on either end of the scale.

Ie Nigel Pearson has a 10% better win ratio but look where Brownie had us.

well what it shows, J-D, is consistency, Brown's luck ran out after a season and a half, yes we were in the Prem but stats don't lie. He had a good impact at Preston, they won quite a few games and then again he is found out and they slumped. (29% win)

Hullbron how did you get those stats for PB? 246 in 4 seasons and half? that's 60 games a season :S have you included friendlies and pre-season games?

He's using stats from their entire careers. Unless Pearson had 258 games in just over a year with us.

It doesn't show consistency unless the team remains in the same division at all times - and over a manager's career that is unlikely. Ie for a club like us, when we're in the Championship, 50% is pretty decent and could get us promoted via the playoffs. But in the PL, you might not even need 25% to consistently keep a team in the top flight (dependent on draws, of course)

all stats are from wikipedia and as J-D said, they are from their entire managerial career.

hullborn, you have the Draws and Losses the wrong way round.

I always think win ratios make managers look bad anyway.

    Unbeaten ratios:
    Brown 58.59
    Pearson 67.18
