Ruiz has withdrawn from the weekend internationals, along with Schwartzer and Hughes because of injury problems. Don't know what his problem is. Schwartzer aggrevated his back injury and came off early in the warm up session on Sunday but was able to play after pain killer injection. While not really troubled in the match he still reacted well to the couple of low shots he had to deal with ans was commanding in the air. An unexpected bonus was Chris Baird taking most of the goal kicks - terrific. Maybe a tactic for the future? And what about Chris' clearance which landed in the Thames. The Hughes groin injury is, worringly, lingering on. Hangeland is also out of the internationals being suspended. All in we have 13 players, however, involved with their countries.
