I think yesterday was a warning to all of us who wanted Hughes back in place of Senderos, I have been saying that Ruiz should be dropped, but will Jol stick his record signing on the bench? I don't think so. I'd like to see either Frei or Duff come in for the disappointing Costa Rican. Kelly's performance should finally convince a few on this board that he is not the right back for us and that Jol needs to go and find a replacement asap. Get Baird in there.

did you see Kelly's woeful marking on Fellaini (a great header) however Kelly never got off the groud. Big he is but lets not give them free headers and make it difficult.
Cottagecravens ,I am with you on this one regarding "Swartz". Agile and acrobatic,as Stockdale is he does not command his area well,and to those who say he will learn,maybe so, but he is 27 next birthday. We keep hearing Jol is going to bid 6,7,8,9,10mil for god knows who as a c/f. His and our priorities at the moment are a couple of quality defenders.
Guys we need to stop jumping up and down. When our team had consistency? Hughes has rightfully lost his place to Senderos. Schwarzer should come back straight to starting line. Not convinced Stocky is our number 1. The defense does not have faith on him any more I think. Kelly was never a high quality RB but got the job done. Left exposed far too much by midfield last night. Both Ruiz and Dempsey were absent. 4-4-2 is not a system that suits Ruiz. The guy is good but expects movement around him to pass the ball. Nothing went right last night. He missed two opportunities.
It never fails to amuse me how every time we lose a game all of a sudden we're terrible, we're going to get relegated, all our players are rubbish, Jol is useless etc ad infinitum. You guys are about as consistent as our team.
I think you will find the criticism heaped upon our team after some of this seasons results, is aptly justified.Surely you cannot be satisfied with some of these recent pathetic performances. Lets a be honest, we all at the start of this season expected, what,? a good Euro run,cup run in both comps" and a top half table position. Instead we are out of all cup comps,and still fearing the drop.No Bidley, and others, apathy and complacency is no formula for even a modicum of success.
Dumping players for one bad performance isn't a good idea, in my book. Kelly's been good for us this season and doesn't deserve the blame for Friday's problems. Everton are a tough, tough team and Felliani is trouble for almost everyone. Hughes ... his screw up was worse by miles. He shouldn't be in the starting 11 in my book.
Knee jerk lets see how we finish up. Can you honestly say you're happy with the way things have gone so far. In my view we've looked more bad than good. So far we've had zero progress IMO. Harsh maybe but im not convinced.
