Italy 10-50 France, a hammering. Antoine Dupont man of the match.

 

Italy just gave up in the second half.

Good French performance especially the scrum half but little fight from the Italians.

 

England having a stinker so far. Scotland far better.

 

England down to 14 men though for 10 minutes. And now get 3 points.

 

8-6 Scotland at half time, deservedly in the lead.

 

Not convinced the refs having a decent game.

 

He's been harsh a couple of times but it's still all Scotland.

Young’s in particular but we have kicked too much and kicked it badly as well.

 

England 6-11 Scotland, the better team won. England didn't look like scoring. Awful.

 

I do think that time is running out for Eddie Jones. He has to go.

The "heroes" were on the football pitch yesterday, all nine of them with a backs-to-the-wall performance, not on the rugby pitch.

 

Very poor play at the end by the Irish. Probably wouldn’t have scored a try but still kicking the ball dead from a penalty is just rank bad play.

Figure the Irish would have won if not down to 14 men for 66 minutes. Didn’t see the first half so can’t comment upon sending off but the Rugby lot usually get their version of VAR pretty much right.

 

So, wins for France, Scotland, and Wales in week one. Today its England v Italy at 2.15 followed by Scotland v Wales at 4.45. Ireland play France tomorrow.

 

England have been pretty effective over the last few seasons but I do wish they would evolve into a style which doesn’t kick the ball away so much.

Should be easy against Italy so won’t establish anything in winning as Italy were garbage last week.
