QUOTE Former Queens Park Rangers defender Rufus Brevett has warned the club they must strengthen significantly in the January transfer window or face relegation from the Premier League. Neil Warnockâs side have slipped to just one place above the bottom three following an eight game winless run in the league. And Brevett has told talkSPORT the club must readjust their transfer targets and bring in players capable of fighting the drop. âAt this level you need that little bit of quality and Queens Park Rangers havenât got the quality at the minute.âRufus Brevett When asked if chairman Tony Fernandes would back Warnock in the transfer market, Brevett said: âI think heâs got to, if they donât theyâll be looking at the exit door. Iâd say they need at least four players in that team and quality players as well. âThe thing is now it is a relegation fight they are in so they will be looking at a different type of players that will pull their sleeves up and dig in, and get them out of the situation they are in. âAt this level you need that little bit of quality and Queens Park Rangers havenât got the quality at the minute.âUNQUOTE
