From here 8) Ruddy's return Norwich City need something against West Bromwich Albion to allow them to breathe a little more easily and Chris Hughton has decided to recall the goalkeeper John Ruddy to his starting line-up to aid the mission. Ruddy enjoyed the early season, when he made his England debut against Italy and won praise for his form, but everything changed when he ruptured his thigh at Everton on 24 November. The previous week, Manchester United's Paul Scholes had caught him hard on the knee and it it believed that this played a part in weakening the leg. Although Ruddy has been back to fitness since the early part of last month, Hughton has persisted with Mark Bunn. But that is set to change and Ruddy intends to embrace the opportunity, which could also have an international dimension. He would love to remind Roy Hodgson of his qualities, with England's upcoming friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and Brazil in mind. DH Hoping this is true
Buzzing for this!! Bunn has done ok but we would have been home and dry with one of the best keepers in the county in goal.
i do like this article, they do it every week, plus a '10 things we have learnt' afterwards i really really hope it is accurate journalism, the guardian is usually pretty accurate
TBH its a complete disgrace how a club that had 26 points before christmas, has slithered like a snake on its belly to just 12 more points, 2 wins in 19 and 13 goals scored. Our whole season's form boils down to Ruddy's injury and Holt's cooling of form (which laid bare how poor of striking department actually is)
well he more likely to pick him on the bench than luchiano however, oldcanaries, he can't pick vaughan as he's not in the 25 man squad
This if nothing else is simply a change. Much moaning around here is that CH refuses to change anything and won't try a single thing different!
Am I right in thinking CH only went as far as to say Ruddy was "in his thoughts" That's about as cryptic as I have ever heard him!
I thought it was much more definite than that, PF. I think those 2 Villa goals just missing Bunn's fingertips (he can't help being 4 inches shorter) may have persuaded CH this time with Long and Lukaku on the horizon!
