Good interview with Ruddy in the Telegraph. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...erspective-thanks-to-military-background.html
great piece by henry. i've met ruddy a few times now and he's such a top man - a 'gentle giant'. deserves all the success coming his way
What a hero! Great to see a footballer who is very aware of the world outside of his profession and very down to earth. A really top pro, and great to see he is not resting on his laurels and is looking to learn from the experience.
Think he is a top bloke, down to earth and showed a lot of character when certain Norwich fans were not happy because his initials were not FF to get where he is today! First name on the teamsheet.
my daughter is R.A.F. and going to afghan for the third time next month. after she comes back she expects to be posted to marham so i'll have to try to engineer a meeting with john, both newly weds ( she got married end of april ). respect to ruddy for what he is doing, service personnel deserve all the backing they can get.
Shame he's only got 3 clean sheets. When he signs his next contract he needs to increase his clean sheet bonus. I doubt McNally is heartless about charities.
My son is an instructor at Winchester and was good mates with Phil Wright also an instructor there. But poor old Phil has been shipped of to Afghanistan again because of the lack of NCO's left in the military. The rate the guys are being made redundant or leaving to do security work is quite frightening. I'm off to Winchester this weekend to help support their charity event this weekend. You won't find a more worthy charity than Help for Heroes believe me.
