He's a really good keeper, we have a unique situation at Norwich where we have "too many" good keepers.

If he goes in the summer, it'll be for quite a bit of cash.

I think we're pretty aware that of our wealth of goalkeeping talent he will be the first to leave. He needs to further his career and is unlikely get that here.

`He's a good keeper, but of the two youngsters I think Steer is a better prospect! Good luck to Declan and thanks for your service!

wouldn't be suprised if he did leave, or if he went out on loan again next season
like others say we have steer, rudd, camp, ruddy and Bunn
steer is younger than rudd and from what i have read has more potential, if he can convert it

Camp is only contracted until the end of the season.

Yeah...can't blame him for being ambitious, and the only way a goalkeeper (or any player for that matter) will advance his game is by playing first team football <ok>

I guess in an ideal situation, I'd want to keep hold of him as long as possible. Get him to sign a 1-2 year extension this summer, with a promise that he gets a full season loan to Preston (or whoever) next season, before reassessing next summer. With Ruddy fit again, we should be able to loan Steer out on a similar arrangement. Does anyone know whether Remi Matthews is good enough to sit on the bench for a couple of games in the event of a suspension?

if Rudd stays this will hamper the development of Steer. realistically one of them has to leave and from everything i hear Steer is the better prospect.

I'd be sad to see him leave, but he would go with my best wishes. He's unlikely to get regular 1st team football if he stays at CR.

Just to be clear, nothing is final yet. The summer will no doubt bring a lot of shifting about. In's and outs. He's just said he wants to talk about his future.

Maybe it would be better for him to have a season long loan somewhere higher up the leagues? It can all be sorted close season.

He deserves proper development, great keeper.

Shades of Joe Lewis. I agree he needs to move on but think he could do better than Preston.

It seems likely Hughton and the GK coach are unsure whether he'll make it. He's now at the age where he really should be establishing himself as a No 2.

Hughton went for Camp and shipped him out.

He's at the age where he needs to be playing first team football, not playing a number two.

John Ruddy and Fraser Forster both had long term loans as youngsters to gain first team experience and they turned out pretty good

The point I'm making is at that age if Hughton fancied him he wouldn't have brought in Camp.

I personally have no idea how good he is because of only seen him a few times when Ruddy was suspended where he seemed reasonable.

Maybe he brought in camp on a short term contract for senior cover so Rudd could go and get experience? And has been totally proved right? And may have a crystal ball?

Lamberts keepers were Ruddy, Rudd and Steer. If Lambert was manager right now we'd be going into the next game against Wigan with Jed Steer and the youth team keeper on the bench. Not having senior cover has held back the development of Steer and Rudd and it was a major risk in Lamberts regime.

He's never once let us down and is a fine young keeper who needs to be playing regular first team football.

Don't be surprised if we offer Camp a one year extension, sell Declan and offer Steer on loan next season......

I think the agreement was that Steer could go out on loan first half of the season with Rudd second half with them alternating with the development squad I remember hughton saying. So he may have got camp as he had plans for those two.

I've seen both of them play a fair few times and there's not much between them, if I had to make the choice it would be Declan Rudd to stay.

I wonder if there might be some interest in Bunn, he's proved himself in this league and will likely return to the bench next season.
