What team are people expecting on Thursday.

    Mine would be

    Gomes

    Corluka Bassong Gallas/Livermore Rose/Townsend

    GDS Sandro Carroll Pienaar

    Pav JD

    Subs

    Carlo
    Livermore/Gallas
    Townsend/Rose
    Falque
    Kane

Not too shabby if so, without a single starter from Sunday on the plane.

I'd go with that, picking Gallas and Rose to start.

We do seem very strong in all departments at the moment. That team is better than alot of of Premier teams.Would love a win but i think a draw would be a good result.

Apparently Rose is injured again, and no news on Corluka, so I'm asuming he won't make it.

    I'll go

    Gomes

    Livermore
    Bassong
    Gallas
    Townsend

    GDS
    Sandro
    Carroll
    Pienaar

    Pav
    JD

    Subs

    Carlo
    Falque
    Kane
    Bathram

    Academy x 2

If Corluka is fit, he plays of course, and I'd probably keep Gallas off the plane.

    Gomes,
    Corluka*, Gallas, Bassong, Rose*
    Gio, Livermore, Sandro, Townsend
    Defoe, pav

Although I've been more than impressed with Carroll, I think we'd need a bit more steel in the centre with speedy wingers for counter attacks. Otherwise I would have played him on the left.

    Subs:
Carlo, Carroll, Falque, Kane, Pritchard, Bartram, Fredericks,

If Charlie can't play then I'd stick Livermore at RB and play Carroll in the centre.
If Rose can't play then Townsend at LB with Carroll taking up left mid.
If both are injured, Livermore at RB, Townsend at LB, Carroll in centre with Falque at left mid.

If Bartram picks up an injury he can have his place on the bench :D

To be honest, yet again I just forgot about him Schteffen. I'd have him on the bench over Bartram in all seriousness

Really hope he returns soon, was looking good in the couple of games he played prior to the injury.

This is actually a game I think we will lose, but we would still have Shamrock away and PAOK at home to get the 1 win we need to go through. Rubin are a good team, as we saw at WHL, and as they showed in their games against Barca, and on their own patch will be even more dangerous. It took a moment of magic to get us the three points at home, but we may not score another 20 yard free kick this time. I'd send a fairly experienced team, whilst still maintaining the approach of not fielding anyone who will play on Sunday.

    Gomes
    Charlie Bassong Gallas? Rose?
    DosSantos Livermore Sandro Townsend
    Falque
    Pav

2 defensive midfielders is probably the best option against a team like Rubin away. Nothing to do with Carroll's performances, because he's been very impressive, but I'd leave him on the bench for this one.

    Prediction:

    Rubin 2-0 Spurs

The Club can report that Harry Redknapp is due to undergo a medical procedure tomorrow morning and will therefore not travel with the squad to Russia for our Europa League fixture against Rubin Kazan.

Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan will assume First Team responsibilities in Russia in his absenc

So Harry's not travelling with the squad then! Probably can't be arsed!

    Hope he's alright.

I'm half expecting him to be one of the match watching pundits on SSN for Thursday having made a "miraculous" recovery, though.

I think we might possibly see Fredericks playing.

No-one has even mentioned him even on the bench??????????????

Well BAE isn't going according to his twitter, no surprise there as I hope/expect that none of the starters on Sunday are going to Russia.

Apparently neither Corluka or Sandro have travelled, hopefully that means Sandro is bing saved for Fulham, but presumably means Corluka is still injured. Although in good news, he's in the Croatia squad, long with Luka, bad news is that Niko isn't.. Gallas, Parrett and Carroll have travelled and Pienaar might just be back in the team as he's travelled too. Pav, JD and GDS on the plane as expected.

    So I go

    Gomes

    Academy
    Bassong
    Gallas
    Townsend

    GDS
    Livermore
    Carroll
    Pienaar

    Pav
    JD

    Subs

    Carlo
    Falque
    Kane
    Parrett

    Academy x 3

Possibly at right back? He's been tried out there in friendlies I think, but it would be a bit of a risk with Townsend at LB
