Unbelievable rubbish today and anyone who thinks we have a canny team is sadly deluded. Campbell and McClean are crap and if little Sess doesn't wake up he can be got shot of as well. Colback was poor, too. Could have been a landslide against us today. Gardner, Mig and Rose played well and Rose was outdone badly only the once.. but it counted! There was me saying we should be stuffing the likes of Liverpool!!!!!!! Lucky, lucky point. Unbeaten start to the season, so lets hope West Ham are hopeless as well. Hope MK Dons don't see the tape.
Thats a little harsh mate, we played badly and got a point from Liverpool, when could we ever do that in the past. Just a bad day at the office mate, i wouldnt worry yet.
I personally think you have a good team that can push for 8/9th, but I do think that O'neill was a bit negative, getting his team to play more defensively after 1-0. But I think you performed well, and 1-1 was the fair result. I predicted 1-0 to you, but I think with the chances Liverpool had, you may count yourselves a tad fortunate. You guys look like a great side.
Yes we were sh!te but chill out mate. The likes of Sess, Gardner, Fletch,Catts and Colback have hardly had any playing time yet. The international break on top of the Reading game has done us no favours. We need Johnston back and a few games to get us gelling. A draw against Arsenal, Liverpool and away to Swansea is nowt to be ashamed of!!
Bad day at the office but some of our players are starting to believe their own hype while their performances are average at best. There were some positives today, another goal for Fletch, Rose had a good debut (even the very best full back will be beaten once in a game) and Mig was excellent. Think we need to look at the Catts/Colback partnership, while both can play ok and I think Catts was a lot better than ok today its just not creative enough and we can't retain the ball for long enough. For MON I think he got the tactics wrong in the second half, an equalizer was always on the cards the way we sat too deep. When we did push up we looked capable of nicking another one.
1. You never get an easy game against Liverpool. 2. We were poor with Sess,McClean,Larson all looking under par. 3. IMO Coleback,Catts and Fletch came out of this game with any credit.
I would have Gardner with Catts when Bardsley is back. There was a gaping hole in our midfield and forwards.
We could not beat the worst Liverpool team in 50 odd years, we have dropped back to the Bruce way now, that is two games on the trot now they have thrown the lead away, and this will continue till O Neil gets sacked because i could not believe how they stood off and let Liverpool takeover, we might have had 0 points now, and to me 10 players can give 100% but it will be that one player (Whitehead, Cattermole), etc etc who cost the team, 11 matches without a win, don't see this improving so my last season this i am afraid, and i hope the overpaid players are reading this. Some people got carried away about the sinings but 15th place at best for me.
Sunderland were second best today and did not deserve a point. That happens in football. It was a very disappointing day. Quite a few players need to ask themselves some questions. Never deserved a point today.
Bad tactics, sitting back on a 1 goal lead Bad substitutions Players playing out of position 11 games now without a win I'm in the BBB camp now "Bring Back Bruce"
Holy smoking ****, your joking right. Disappointing today but lets not get our knickers in the twist, we can certainly improve on todays showing. I was angry after the game with certain players but have calmed down enough to see some positives, we will click shortly
Must me ****ing wind up mag twats posting this ****e just after we have got a credible draw against a decent Liverpool team..Surely no true Sunderland fan would post such ****e?
I watched the game, the only time Sunderland got any momentum was after Fletcher scored and even then it wasn't for long. Liverpool had the better of possession and had they scored first, there would only have been one winner. However, this was only one game so I don't think Sunderland fans should be too worried.
The Mags have been speaking far more sense on this thread: any Sunderland fan who wants O'Neill sacked because of 3 draws in difficult fixtures seriously needs their head checking!
