Too many reports saying he will be announced in the next 48 hours to ignore. 1) What do we think of him? AND 2) No matter what you do think, would you support him if he was at the helm?
i don't think he'd have Watford at heart...but if it happened, i'd support him, innocent til proved guilty! i haven't seen reports...where should i be looking?
On all the rumour sites, and there's a reason why his odds have suddenly dropped. He has also apparently said he wants the job. :S
oh dear Hope this does not happen to you, it will be a bad season if he takes charge. Signings would include mainly Sunderland and Ipswich players of little ability. Tactics that will make you blush. Results that will make you blush more. We were gutted when Ipswich sacked him. As far as 'agents' go, he was doing a tremendous job for us at Portman Road
Any plan B would be better, even if that meant instilling a three legged cat in to the managers position
I am not sure he'd in with the family image of the club for starters...and wouldn't give youngsters a chance. Probably walk away quickly as well when things don't go his way.
We have no money for the type of signings he would want. I'm still unsure about him...It's his last chance at management, he's messed up the last two and spent loads of money, so he will be very committed. The anger issues could be a problem, he does tend to fall out with players a lot, but then that could also be a good thing, as most of our team is relatively young and won't have huge egos. Plus there's the Utd link again... He's not a very attractive prospect, but definitely better than most of the others (Dickov, Laws, Jones,...)
Surely once he realises we have a pretty thin squad and a transfer kitty of a fiver, he'd say no!! The only plus point I'd see having Keane is hopefully he'd still have a good relaitonship with Fergie and get a few loan players in (just not Drinkwater)... But still don't thats enough!
Hang on a minute, I can't really believe this. Roy Keant at lil ole Watford town FC??? No, surely not. Wouldn't GT have something to say about this?
I would welcome him if appointed. He turned a perennial yo-yo club into an established Premier League outfit, and took a mid table Championship side to mid table in the Championship. Not spectacular, but I believe he would keep us up, and he'll have a respectable phone book. I don't think he's the best option available though.
I think he'd be a disastrous appointment. Seems to specialise in signing only players he's already worked with while getting poor results. If we were to appoint him (and I really hope we don't!) I'd have to back him, however: you've got to get behind your team if you're a fan. I just think that, as with Vialli, we'd live to regret it. Less of the showbiz speculation, more of the careful selection process please, Baz. I'm still hoping, albeit forlornly, for Paul Tisdale.
I doubt you'll get Plan B he is busy working on his next album although would do better than Keane or Magilton. Good Luck
Expensive ****e who needs a pot of gold to buy very average players - no I don't want him, but I will always support my club...
http://www.bridgingandcommercial.co...med_football_boss_s_3_5m_mansion_up_for_grabs Just adding to the speculation. I don't want him - it has to be said. But will I back him? Yes, of course I would. I will sing his name if he warrents it, but I don't want him as our manager.
