With his seemingly inability to be able to get along with the heirarchy at both the football clubs he has managed, will keane ever take a club to the top?

Obviously he believes in his own ability, has he got that ability?,
Believing and producing are two seperate things.



Roy Keane has hinted that he is ready to return to management and wants to take a club to the 'very top'.

The opinionated Irishman was sacked by Ipswich in January and before that had been in charge of Sunderland for two-and-a-half years.

Keane left Sunderland after an apparent inability to form a working relationship with the club's owner, Ellis Short.

The former Manchester United captain has also implied that he found it difficult to work with Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg.

Keane's alleged rows have led to suggestions that he may not be suited to management, but he said in the Daily Star of his time at Ipswich: "My only regret is that I agreed to take the job before I met the chief executive, I won't be doing that again.

"I'm a young manager and I want a club to take to the very top.

"Potentially I could be a good manager.

"But potential is one thing - doing it is something very different."

Throughout his career, Keane has always had problems getting on with people. It's what makes him who he is, love him or hate him, it's his personality and it isn't ever going to change.

So, what makes him think that he isn't going to have problems with hierarchy at any club he decides to manage??

During his time at Sunderland, whether true or not, there were stories of him almost bullying players in the dressing room, don't know about you but I've never heard of this anywhere else ..... unless the famous Fergie boot incident constitutes bullying? :biggrin:

When he doesn't get his own way the toys come out the pram.

Fantastic player in his day, I have my doubts whether he can ever be a successful top flight premiership manager, especially in England.
 
I'm sure someone will be daft enough to give him another go................can't see him ever lasting the course though
