Could happen this season... rumours are that Forrest are the crazy people who are going to to appoint him as their manager <laugh>

It beggars belief why they'd sack O'Driscoll.. a very talented manager after just 5 months and sitting 8th. It appears the owners are unaware of what they have taken on as this is decent achievement for them after their past couple of seasons! It almost puts them up alongside Leeds in terms of delusion of grandeur

Anyway I would laugh myself silly if Royston is appointed and it would show that the lunatics are really running the asylum

I wouldn't be so sure that things wouldn't click for Keano at Forest, although I very much doubt this would happen <ok>

Alex McLeish has already been named Forest manager, don't suppose he was lined up already then. <whistle>
Nice to see Aston Villa have a worse goal difference than us currently, couldn't happen to a nicer bloke <lambertisaweasel>

feel sorry for o'driscoll. thoroughly decent bloke and manager, being treated appallingly. always had a soft spot for forest but as soon as the kuwaiti's took over i had a bad feeling about things. as for blackburn...

god knows! maybe they'll reappoint steve kean. yet more foreign owners messing about with our football clubs and doing more harm than good.

O'Driscoll is exactly the kind of manager I would have wanted at ITFC. IMO did a very good job at Forest, assembled a decent set of players literally over a summer and got them to be fairly consistent, this rarely occurs!! I was surprised when Forest appointed him tbh and it made me think perhaps they were not the typical foreign owners like at many clubs, as they seemed to have appointed a good manager that suited the club, probably the best appointment the club had made in years. And then the sacking just came out of the blue!!

I hope Forest suffer for this now!! Not a fan of McLeish, not sure he'll do well there but who knows, he's had success in the past, certainly the football won't be as good!!

With all the **** you get off Norwich fans for 'living in the past', you hit us with that? Nothing wrong with being a great club and having ambitions of getting to back where you belong, like Leeds, Forest and to an extent Ipswich. It's just a shame when the practical steps deemed necessary to achieve that include sacking managers after a short period of time. I don't think this al-Hasawi bloke and similar foreign owners understand that most fans want sustainable and committed management rather than instant chop and change whenever there's a whiff of underachievement. Especially when they're trading the patient play of O'Driscoll for the boring functionality of McLeish.

JWM and loiner, I read somewhere that O'Driscoll was sacked because he has no Premier League experience, which, to me, beggar's belief completely!

You don't need a manager with premier league experience if you're not there, you need a manager who can get you into the prem and then take it from there.
This is why Big Mick is a good fit for us right now. He has a proven track record of taking teams into the top six and beyond, and that's good enough for me at the moment.

Um, excuse me mighty Leeds? Do me a favour! Norwich fans say that because the past is an embarrassment to them. We're extremely proud of our history and I'm sure Leeds fans being numbskulls they are just as proud of their heritage and reputation too <ok>

As I understand it the new owners of Forest sacked that prick Cottrell in the first place because they wanted a bigger name and then ended up appointing his no2 as his replacement! <doh> O'Driscol was already installed as Crawley Manager in the summer when he decided to take the Forest job! What a bloody shambles <laugh>

    Alex McCleish <yikes><yikes><laugh><laugh>

Thank god we've got our Mick! <ok>
