to wycombe for 3months, i hope works out for him has been grear servant to our club, good luck martin.
Here here,he could have an Indian Summer down there, linking up with Wild Thing himself.I presume Mr Ainsworth is still there?
I really thought that both Rowly and Cookie would have been in great demand by Champ clubs. Cant understand why they were not snapped up especially when the club said it would refund any loan fee for Cookie if he got injured. Is there something going on that i am not aware of with these two lads. Great servants to our club
Rowlands joins on loan deal (From Bucks Free Press) Rowlands joins on loan deal 5:04pm Monday 26th September 2011 Print Email Comments(0) WANDERERS have signed QPR midfielder Martin Rowlands on a three-month loan deal. A former youth team player at Adams Park, the London-born former Ireland international will wear the number four shirt and is in contention for a place in the squad to face Preston North End tomorrow night. He has made more than 200 appearances for the R’s but has featured for them just once so far this term, the 1-0 Carling Cup defeat to Rochdale – the side Wanderers face on Saturday. The 32-year-old has scored 60 goals in just over 400 appearances for QPR, Brentford and Millwall after being released by then-Blues boss John Gregory in 1997. Wanderers manager Gary Waddock swooped to sign a player he knows from his time in charge of the Loftus Road outfit after Rowlands failed to make QPR’s 25 man squad for the Premiership. He told the club website: “Martin is a quality footballer and will offer more competition in midfield with his experience and knowledge. To bring in a player of his quality is great for us and it helps that he already has an association with the club.” Comment now! Register or sign in below.
It's a good signing for Wycombe,he could well tear it up for them. Am i right in thinking they have one of our kids on loan?
Let's hope Rowly proves a point to NW in the nicest possible way that he is back to full fitness and worth a chance in the premier league from Jan (that's asuming you can add or take away players in that period)
I can't believe that people believe that Rowly and cook could actually make the first team in the premier league if they regain some fitness. Their days are well and truely numbered. They are playing out on loan trying to secure new contracts at other clubs , no more . These guys will never play for us in the prem.
I mightbe a sentimental old git (cue abuse from some), but i actually thought that Rowly muight have been given some playing time this year - even if it was 2 or 3 games. Whilst better players have come in, to have people like Rowly or even Clint who would run through a brick wall for you would as be a good back up. Fink my keyboord is playing op again....must get new one
