I see from Twitter this morning Exeter will not be extending Rowans Vines loan and have sent him back to QPR, his parent club that he is currentley taking to court!

I think the club should cut its losses and terminate this wasters contract with immeadiate affect!

My opinions split on Rowan Vine.
When he was a first team player he added as much off the pitch as he did on it and was loved by everyone. His injury has obviously taken a lot away from game because at his best he was miles better than league 1 so understandably he's frustrated that something which is no fault of his own has almost ruined his career.

However the way he's handling it he's being very bitter towards the club which is wrong and almost laughable.

If I was him I'd start again. Drop down to League 2 and build yourself up again. Find some form, find your game and in after a season or two of regular football he'll be back to his old self.

It's time for both Rowan and the club to end this little saga and move on.

Such a pity. Exciting player for a while. Loved to see him (almost) terrorising defenders. Agree, drop down and start over.

Marc Nygaard - 69 league apps 13 goals

Rowan Vine - 69 league apps 9 goals

    Says it all. Get rid.

He wasn't Championship level so he has no future at the club. If he had any pride he'd find his level and apply himself. Leon Clarke has shown the way to go, 5 in 3 games now at Chesterfield, maybe it took DiCanio grabbing him by the throat to get the message...

QPR Scotland, you got it right. Let's hope he reads this and takes note. Was a decent player before the two injuries.

I agree. Looked a better than average Championship player at first. Dreadful shame about the injuries.

I just hope he can do what's right for his career and not leave everyone (himself included) feeling bitter.

He'll always hold a special place in my heart for the ridiculous goal he scored at Leicester but he was pretty ****e in general. He missed one from under a yard out at Palace once when we were desperate for a result and went on to lose 3-0. And his ludicrous sending off at home to Watford.

I'd like to see assits added into those stats. Vine's game was more about making goals for his teammates, than scoring himself. When he joined us he looked great, I love to see strikers running with the ball at defenders, but as Matt indicated, it was the injuries that scuppered him.

He needs to roll his sleeves up and make a go of rebuilding a career somewhere else. If necessary drop down to league 2 and start again. Time to move on Rowan for your own sake.

Have to agree whilst he looked decent before his injury his attitude etc following has been crap, plenty of players have come back from worse injuries so now just a total waste of space, get rid now.
