Rovers vs Exeter in a reserve game this afternoon. Rovers won 2-1. * There was an early chance for Billy Bodin but his shot, from Jake Gosling’s cross, was well saved by Christy Pym. * Mildenhall had saved a shot that was deflected off of Tyler Lyttle. * Pym made another fine save from Bodin. * Mildenhall conceded a penalty twenty minutes in when he rushed out of his goal in an attempt to clear a ball, but he only succeeded in bringing down an Exeter player. However Mildenhall dived low to his left to save Cameron Reid’s spot kick. * Exeter's Reid hit the upright with a ferocious drive. * Bodin fired wide when well placed. * Half time 0-0. * Three minutes into the second half Cristian Montano fired Rovers into the lead when he hit a ferocious angled drive beyond Pym and into the far corner of the net. * Seven minutes later Montano turned provider, crossing from the left to Jamie Lucas who hit a fine volley past Pym to double the lead. * Lucas might have scored a second, but hit another volley wide of the target. * Exeter had a scuffed effort cleared off the line by Rovers substitute Bradley Confrey. * Exeter pulled a goal back with five minutes remaining, when Alfie Kilgour was adjudged to have committed a foul in the area and Gill beat Mildenhall from their second spot kick of the game. Mildenhall couldnt repeat his first half penalty save. * Rovers had to withstand some late pressure from Exeter but held out to preserve their lead. So Lucas scores again its about time he had a place in the starting line up forget all this rubbish about him being to young he will never get league experience if he isn't playing some games
Look at the line up, its none of them of course The 2 unused sub's... Its not them. 4 sub's used, only Broom I know. The other 3 sub's I don't. I'm guessing 1, 2 or 3 of them are trialists. Don't know all youngsters so not sure.
