You will find there is a massive difference between running costs that are covered and debt that is not being serviced. plus we are cutting our costs, yours seem to be doubling?? You appear to have thrown all your eggs in a 'new ground' basket, whilst your income is reducing dramatically... (We get rugby income next year too!) Our losses are relevant to the previous financial year. Our wage costs have dramatically reduced this year, having got rid of high earners like Virgo, Kenneth and Gill and we've now got about a third of our squad who have come up through the youth ranks - they're a lot cheaper than the useless mercenaries we used to employ - a similar situation to yourselves. Our income, like our attendances, have now stabilised after reducing dramatically last year. Sure, it's a pretty poor situation but let's face it £782,000 losses is a drop in the ocean compared to £14.4million which you lot endured in 2012. We don't have a lot of choice about 'all eggs in a new ground basket' as we can't afford to redevelop the Mem without some kind of enabling development. However, the Judicial Review is simply a delay which will not derail the UWE stadium in the long term.
If I were you I'd err on the side of caution and urge me to go **** myself! To be honest, although I love taking the piss I wouldn't want to see any club go out of business due to financial problems, not even 82 or Scumdon. I've far too many City- supporting mates who would be devastated. Any club's demise under such circumstances would be disastrous for genuine fans.
We're not 43 million pound in debt. We lost 43 million pound which Lansdown has said himself he has paid for and when he leaves he doesn't want it back. I mean, you knows its bad when you you're not even 1million pound in debt and you're in trouble

This is going to get worse, and worse, in years to come,football in the uk is a bomb waiting to explode. I do not want any club to have to go through what we did in 82, but it is sadly going to happen more and more.
Some clubs are poorly run......the owners would lose money running a newsagents or market stall as well. Other clubs have overspent as they aspire to move higher in the league system to get more prestige and more TV money. Others do both = disaster. The bottom line though is that with the massive income differential between the premier league and everyone else, more and more clubs are going to be faced with these issues. The answer is to cap players wages which at championship and probably most league one clubs are simply too high. FFP is aimed at addressing this but does not apply to the premier league. Premier league wages are beyond most of our comprehension. We live in a society where some ill-educated twat who happens to be good kicking a ball earns hundreds of times what a teacher, policeman, nurse or name a million other occupations does a year. It's out of control........ Good luck to The Gas and all the other teams, us included, who need to try and steady the ship.
I agree- I have little sympathy with those that gloated in City's demise, but it cant be good for Bristol or football if either side went to the wall. A United team just isn't going to happen either. I grew up on the gas side of town (Patchway) and a lot of my school mates were gasheads. We all got along, just begged to differ as far as football was concerned.
We should not want any football club to go bust - anyway we would have no-one to take the p*ss out of would we?
